Coffee all the way! Especially love a breve latte.
This is a tricky one! My favorite subject in school was math but music gives me life! I guess I use a little of both.
This one's tough... Waffles lets the syrup get in all the little nooks and crannies, but pancakes are straight magic when the butter soaks in. TBD.
Hi there! As you already know, my name is Molly! I am 25 years old currently residing in a small town 45 minutes from New Orleans, Louisiana. Not a native to Louisiana (born in Cali), but I love all things southern! My parents are both kick butt entrepreneurs and they inspire me every single day.
Academic time: I graduated with a Bachelor in Marketing (2017) and a Master in Business Administration (2018) from Southeastern Louisiana University. No one prepares you for all the ups and downs while getting a Masters...let's just say, I'm so thankful I'm done with that chapter in my life.
I have a deep love and passion for music. I started learning at 8 and started teaching at 13. I still teach but mostly because I love seeing my students start to love music in their own way. Music is the way to my soul and it fosters my creative side.
I love staying healthy and pushing my body to the limits through exercise. Reading is a favorite past time of mine. I use to love reading fiction but I've started on a non-fiction kick.
Why REAL Industry Chick?
I started my first ever corporate job in August 2019. My first week of work I was flown out to New York to attend a *not so pretty* upper management meeting. Essentially it was a come to Jesus meeting for all our RVP (regional vice presidents) to get their stuff together and hit their numbers in the upcoming quarter. All I remember was sitting in the 12 hour meeting for two days thinking "how did I even get here?" I had zero previous experience and felt extremely unequipped to perform my job. Not to mention I was 24 and the average age in the room was 45.
I've now been at this job for a year and a half and it has been the biggest learning experience and I wouldn't want it any other way. It's hard to not feel slightly isolated when my friends work in vibrant offices with their work buddies and I'm on conference calls all day and working excel data from my home office. If you're like me, you can see the benefit of working a corporate position but it is hard to feel genuinely confident about the work you are doing when everything is a learning curve through trial and error.
My ultimate desire for Real Industry Chick is to create a community of young professional women, who know they are on the right track, doing the right things, reading the right books, but feel that there has to be something more.
